Why Independ exists

Simple to use. Serious about good work.

Across India, projects still start with 'Do you know someone?' A referral can find you a name. It doesn't always give you clear terms, reliable updates or a way to handle trouble. That's where confusion, unpaid work and scams happen. We're building Independ to bring that familiar way of finding people into a simpler, more dependable system. Clearer agreements, easier collaboration and room for good work to be valued. Independent work should feel like a profession to be proud of.

How the founders got here

College friends. Then project partners.

We met in college and later ran agency projects together. We saw the same problems from both sides: clients unsure of what they were paying for, and professionals struggling to keep the work, price, and expectations in sync. The part we couldn't ignore was how much time went into managing confusion instead of doing the work. So we started building Independ. We're still close to the people using it, listening to what goes wrong and improving the product around real needs. Useful features, not more things to figure out.
